The ACT exam lasts 2 hours and 55 minutes without the optional essay and, with the essay, it lasts 3 hours and 40 minutes.
There are a total of 215 questions on the ACT exam.
A perfect score on the ACT is 36. The average ACT score is 20, and at least a score of 31 is required to be considered for most Ivy League schools.
The ACT has four parts: English, Math, Reading, and Scientific Reasoning. There is an optional essay at the end of the exam.
