The test takes 3 hours to complete. Not included in the time is a 10-minute and 5-minute snack and bathroom break.

The SAT is broken down into two parts: Math and Reading and Writing. In the Math part of the test, there is a section where you can use a calculator to help you with the problems and another section where you cannot use a calculator and have to rely on using pencil and paper.
